Albion Advanced Nutrition, Clear­field, UT, has launched two new ingredients, DiCalcium Malate and DiMagnesium Malate. Both ingredients are patent-pending under a patent title “Dimetalhydroxy Malates.” These new complexes are to be used in formulations that require taste considerations, such as powdered beverages, chewables, bars and ready to drink juices. According to the company, both will soon be generally recognized as safe (GRAS).
